Why should one can use root account instead of aws root account ?
It is not recommended to use the root account for daily AWS operations, as it has full administrative access and permissions to all AWS resources and services. This makes it a high-risk target for malicious actors and increases the likelihood of accidental changes or actions that could cause security breaches or service disruptions.
Instead, it is recommended to use IAM user accounts with specific, limited permissions to perform specific tasks, as this reduces the risk of security breaches and operational disruptions. Additionally, IAM allows administrators to enforce the principle of least privilege, ensuring that users have only the access they need to perform their job duties.
In summary, using IAM instead of the root account provides better security, helps maintain compliance, and reduces the risk of operational disruptions.
